The criminal Justice Team is now very much part of a team including Police officers, Offender Mangers, PPO team, and Police intelligence.
In practice this means:
- Co-location within the unit
- Joint visits in custody & community
- Enhanced understanding of partners roles
- Improved partnership working in and out of IOM
- Large increase in caseload for DIP
Now more offenders in Scarborough & Ryedale are addressing their drug use than ever before.
"The days of separate teams looking at set areas such as crime, health, housing, alcohol, or drugs are long gone. If individuals are to be given the best possible chance at making tough but positive changes in their lives, then the teams around them must work in harmony in the best interest of them and their communities."
