As a charity the overall governance of the Cambridge Centre rests with our Board of Trustees.
Members are elected to the Board to give a broad a range of backgrounds and experience.
Our current Board has 12 members whose professions and experience includes a Pharmacist; Domestic Abuse Coordinator; Victim Support; Police; Accountant; Magistrate; Solicitor; School Governors; Minister of the Church; Education; Nursing.
The Board is not involved in an executive capacity but, being a charity, has a legal and personal responsibility to ensure the Cambridge Centre provides the services to which it is committed, and maintains its financial viability.
In order to carry out its duties effectively, the Board has a number of sub- committees to deal with such things as strategic planning; staffing and finance.
Additionally and importantly each of our service teams has a “Champion” board member, who acts as a link between the service and the Board.
As a charity each of our board members gives their time and expertise voluntarily without cost to the Cambridge Centre.
