Working with the community safety partnership, and Scarborough Borough Council, the Cambridge Centre maintains a number of static needle bins in public toilets in Scarborough Centre and in Scarborough Library. These bins are instrumental in reducing the numbers of needle finds in public toilets, and reducing the risk of accidental needle stick injury to council cleansing staff and members of the general public. The Cambridge Centre also provides drug related litter awareness training for Scarborough and Ryedale cleansing staff and other agencies on request.
