The Cambridge Centre was lucky enough to be involved in the first round of overdose response training that was developed by Mainliners as part orunning_od_trainingf the Department of Health pilot project training service users up with overdose response skills, including mouth to mouth, cardio pulmonary resuscitation and the recovery position.  This pilot was widely applauded as a success and we have run overdose response sessions as a rolling programme ever since.  The sessions have many benefits, and are proved to have saved lives, they also serve to break down barriers between service users and nursing and hospital staff and have proved an invaluable intervention over the last few years.  We were lucky enough to be asked to take part in the national NTA Harm Reduction Works campaign to talk about our experiences, you can read about this campaign on their website or order dvd's. We have also made available an older evaluation report from the 2005-2006 overdose response sessions.
